This is a bit different from the rest of the images, it is one of two that went with a vertical aspect ratio. The artist used the architecture to the left and right to frame the character which I think is very smart. There is only the central character in the image which is running so it draws the viewer into the scene, It also allows the viewer to interpret the concept of the image. What is the robot running from is are they being viewed through the lens of the person and or object following them. Although its a vertical aspect ratio the scene has a very cinematic feel.

Josh Durham
The amount of clutter and chaos really captures the claustrophobic lifestyle present in Cyberpunk cities!

Absolutely exceptional submission. The composition immediately draws your eye in. It leaves you wanting to know more about the story, the place and the people.
The worlds of high-tech and slums is beautifully combined here. You really get a sense that humanity has divided and the rich portion of society have simply built over the top of the forgotten. This is two cyberpunk theme’s in one image and stunningly emotive. The only drawback in this image is how commanding the highways are. You can’t help but feel lost in the blackness of the underside of the highways. They are a necessary part of the image, but could have been a little more detailed. Stunning work Stephanie!

‌David Luong
A striking graphic composition that hit me immediately. The silhouettes of the overpass are strong, and the the shadow details are just enough so that they aren’t crunchy dark, but exposed for the top building lights as to not blow out.
I’m a sucker for strong silhouettes and exposure and this one really struck me with it’s expansive space and composition.

Nick Marshall
This painting has a really great graphic read without sacrificing the integrity of a believable environment design. The dark shapes against light create pockets of interest, and the sweeping lines of the elevated roads draw your eye through the image. It’s really well put together and feels like it could drop straight in as a shot in a movie.
The compositional qualities are partly what keeps me coming back to this painting, but there’s so much to love in here. The balance of the high tech against the squalid slums is quintessentially Cyberpunk, so it hits the brief on the head. There’s clearly a lot of care and attention gone into the design of this world to marry those two contrasting elements together and the end result is of a really high quality. I spent a long time just letting my eyes wander through all the little slum streets enjoying the details. Really beautiful work.

Stefan Bernscherer
I picked this because of the coalition between the scale of the small, what I would call slums in the bottom of the image, and the mega structures and bright lights in the BG that draw the eyes first. Beautifully done!

Fabio Palvelli
I think this is one of the best executed works, it is more of an establishing shot rather than a main shot and this is the reason why I did not pick it as a winner, still the light is incredibly well balanced and it gives you the right mega structure sense of scale that one would expect from a cyberpunk scenario. Well done!

As a architect I find this image really exciting and well executed. The coloring and details are insane for this type of scene. It has a cyberpunk inception feeling with the buildings turned horizontal. The sphere leads the views eye through the image. This is would  have been my top pick but was looking for a image that had a little more story to it. The technical work and details are amazing though.

Cyberpunk 2020: A Year in Review for Cyberpunk | Cyberpunk Matrix https://www.punkgenerator.com/cyberpunk-2020-a-year-in-review-for-cyberpunk-cyberpunk-matrix/ https://www.punkgenerator.com/cyberpunk-2020-a-year-in-review-for-cyberpunk-cyberpunk-matrix/#respond Sat, 02 Jan 2021 23:33:18 +0000 https://www.punkgenerator.com/cyberpunk-2020-a-year-in-review-for-cyberpunk-cyberpunk-matrix/ We are lucky that the end of the year brings us two weeks of holidays, for Christmas and New Year’s, where we can sit down and take a minute to reflect on what the year has brought us. My last Year in Review, for 2019, described the many things that we got to enjoy in the year, along with looking ahead to the future of what 2020 was meant to have in store for us (boy, were we in for a BIG SURPRISE with that one!) While different from 2019 in many ways, 2020 has been a great year for the genre of Cyberpunk in general. On the first few days of 2020 I wrote the following:

“So what does the future hold for Cyberpunk? Something very exciting indeed. Just look at all the great content, announcements and surprises we got from 2019! So while it’s impossible to say what surprise announcements or content we will get, what we can do is predict things that are already in the pipeline and have been announced:

1. Altered Carbon: Season 2 should arrive to Netflix in February 2020, which will start off our year right

2. Cyberpunk 2077 will be released in April, which should really kick the Cyberpunk genre into front and center of pop culture, especially considering it’s in the name of the game itself.

3. Matrix 4 isn’t expected until 2021, but 2020 will bring with it more and more production and casting updates, as well as hopefully story clues, so the production of Matrix 4 will be very fun to watch. Production should begin in February as well.

4. While not exactly Cyberpunk, Denis Villeneuve did an excellent job with Cyberpunk 2049, so his adaption of the science-fiction classic DUNE will be very exciting to see. There may be some cyberpunk elements present, but it should be a mostly science fiction tale.”

Well, Altered Carbon: Season 2 was good, but it didn’t live up to the first season sadly, and then the series itself was cancelled.

Cyberpunk 2077 wasn’t released in April, or September, or November, but finally in December, and while it did well on the PC and next-gen consoles, it had so many game-breaking bugs in the old-gen consoles many gamers demanded refunds and others considered the release a monumental failure.

Matrix 4 is still set for 2021, but instead of a May release date, or an April 2022 release date due to covid, its newest release date is for December 22nd, 2021.

As for Dune, its release was pushed back from December 18th, 2020 to October 1st, 2021. We were able to get a glimpse of the trailer, which looks amazing, but it’s still a long way away.

Meanwhile, we got a lot of other Cyberpunk media in 2020. So come join me, won’t you, as we take a walk down memory lane and look at all the Cyberpunk media that came out in 2020.

February 27th: Altered Carbon Season 2

Cyberpunk in 2020 started off the year with Altered Carbon Season 2, releasing February 27th on Netflix. Compared to Season 1, I noted how the second season felt very toned down, with less torture, violence, and gore. Unlike the source material (Broken angels and Woken Furies, books 2 and 3 in the Takeshi Kovacs Trilogy, respectively) the Netflix series decided to pursue a love story between Takeshi and Quell, for better or for worse. There’s also a lot less gratuitous sex than in the books, a stronger focus on family ties, and generally a lot of missed opportunities with the changes they chose compared to the books. The result is a more wholesome, safe season that probably had a smaller budget but also didn’t wow the audience in any way, and as a result led to the unfortunate cancelling of the series (partly also because of how darn expensive the series was).

February and March: Matrix 4 begins shooting, and the lockdowns begin

Project Ice Cream, AKA Matrix 4, began shooting in February and we were treated to some incredible stunt scenes over skyscrapers and explosions along the city streets in Alameda and San Francisco, California, which I reported in my Matrix 4: 2020 updates post in March. Fortunately, Matrix 4 was able to wrap up all of its primary US shooting before March rolled around. The team were later able to continue shooting in Babelsberg, Germany, although under significantly different conditions

The end of February was the final normal month as we knew it. We had no idea at the time, but we were about to be hit by the world-changing pandemic known as COVID-19, which would affect media releases, travel, result in thousands of deaths and billions of people affected and forced to rethink their daily habits. The entire world, almost every country, had to learn how to confine, lockdown, or quarantine, an event I discussed in my April post on how dystopian it felt in real time.

March: Altered Carbon: Resleeved and Bloodshot

After Altered Carbon Season 2 came out, we were treated to a Netflix animated film called Altered Carbon: Resleeved. Released on March 19th, the story had fairly good voice actors and story, if you could get past the unusual animation style. It was only 1 hour 14 minutes in duration, so it was pretty short, but had some awesome ninja action scenes. More on our review of Altered Carbon: Resleeved can be found here.

Meanwhile, Bloodshot was meant to be released in theaters, (and maybe it was in some places) but due to the pandemic it was mostly moved to pay on demand. I just recently posted my review and thoughts of this recent quasi-cyberpunk film with Vin Diesel here.

April: The first podcast and the beginning of our Is This Cyberpunk? Series

In April we had our first podcast of the year, an exciting hour-long talk with friend to the blog Lazarus over at NeoMatrixology. In it we discuss the Cyberpunk genre, our first impressions viewing the Matrix for the first time, and many other things.

We also had the first of what would be many different posts in a series called Is This Cyberpunk? where I look at media that could be considered Cyberpunk and offer my thoughts of why or why not they would be considered in the genre. This year we looked at the following movies: The Wolverine, Big Hero 6, Batman Beyond, and Tomorrowland.

April: Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045

Also coming out in April was the next animated Cyberpunk work on Netflix, Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045. Released April 23rd, it comprised 12 20-minute episodes to create a fast-paced, interesting series that decidedly does not finish at the end of its run, suggesting a season 2 was always in the works. Although great parts action and cyber-sleuthing, I noted that it might take a minute to get past the unusual 3D CG animation. Check out my full review of the series here.

June: The beginning of Night City Wire episodes

Night City Wire was a series of what would become 5 promotional short videos to advertise the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, This provided a great opportunity for fans of Cyberpunk to get excited together about what would be available to do in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 title. When we got it in June it was supposed to come out in September, before it eventually got delayed to November and then finally to December 10th. I personally had a lot of fun tuning into my favorite Cyberpunk content creator on YouTube and seeing their reactions and joining in the chat as thousands of similar fans all watched the wires drop simultaneously. You can check out my breakdown of wire 1, wire 2,  wire 3 and wires 4-5 plus the special on the blog.

October: World Cyberpunk Day

October 10th, 2020 (or 10.10.2020) was World Cyberpunk Day. Designed to be a free fun #hashtag celebration of all things cyberpunk, it was also meant to promote lesser known Cyberpunk content creators. For my own post of World Cyberpunk Day, I took the opportunity to celebrate all my favorite Cyberpunk media, including both well-known and lesser known content. You can check out all my favorite Cyberpunk picks in all the different categories here.

November: Ready Player Two

On November 24th, Ready Player Two, the sequel to the acclaimed Ready Player Novel, was published By Ernest Cline. After loving the first novel and going to see the film adaptation by Steven Spielberg last year, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. It was a fast-paced page-turner and I finished it in about a week or two, and I highly recommend it. You can check out my full review for the book here.

December: Cyberpunk 2077 finally releases

On December 10th, the fateful day finally arrived. I remember waiting until 2am to download the game, waiting an hour using my slow internet to download the game, and then finally being able to create my character and playing the first 20 minutes of the game (the introduction) before crashing. Unfortunately, despite having downloaded the game previously when I pre-ordered the game, I like thousands of others around the world like me took a really long time in downloading the final pieces in order to make the game playable.

Once I finally was able to play the game…I wish I could say it went swimmingly. Unfortunately, I had a couple bugs that really bothered me during the introduction (like bushes appearing in frames when they were supposed to be outside far away but otherwise, I didn’t have any problems playing the game (although I played on the lowest graphics settings due to the old nature of my gaming laptop). Others, however, weren’t so forgiving with the game, and had much worse bugs. So bad, in fact, that Sony pulled it from their online store, and CD Projekt Red lost millions when they had to offer refunds for the game, sparking disgruntled developers pushing back on management claiming their timelines to get the game out were unrealistic, and even resulting in lawsuits from investors. Nonetheless, I had a great time playing Cyberpunk 2077. I have since finished one of the game’s main storylines, but I still have much more to play. I published an initial review of the game with my first impressions as one of my last posts of 2020 here.

Interviewing the Cyberpunk Community at Cyberpunk Matrix:

Finally, throughout the year, I was able to interview all kinds of great Cyberpunk content creators and see how they got into the genre, as well as what they love about Cyberpunk. Starting with Bradley B, founder of the incredible Cyberpunk website http://www.cyberpunks.com, I later was able to interview all four most popular YouTube Cyberpunk content creators: Madqueen, The Neon Arcade, Last Known Meal, and Triple S League. They also have a mutual community podcast which I often joined on occasion every other Sunday during 2020 as we all mutually waited for Cyberpunk 2077 to release and shared the latest info and hopes for the game.

Cyberpunk Media to Look out for in 2021

While not exactly cyberpunk, Frank Herbert’s Dune is a science fiction classic and a lot of sci-fi has drawn inspiration from his spice world of Arrakis and the fear-inspiring worms that live there. Considering how great Denis Villeneuve did with Blade Runner 2049, I’m really excited to see this come out next year. It’s also starring a great ensemble cast like  Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.

Matrix 4

Obviously  what we are most excited for here at Cyberpunk Matrix, and indeed a lot of the inspiration why I created this website in the first place, is the return to the world of The Matrix with Matrix 4. Now that Lana Wachowski and the production team was able to wrap in Germany, it seems like the biggest work in producing Matrix 4 is done. Now comes the step of adding the music, edits, and all the other post production work, before marketing and getting Matrix 4 ready for their release date of December 22nd, 2021. Hopefully that release date won’t be pushed back yet again.

Edgerunners

While all we know about this standalone series from Netflix set in Night City is that it will come out in 2022, hopefully there may be some news about its production to come out in 2021. Similarly, I am looking forward to any and all Cyberpunk 2077 DLC that comes out in 2021 that adds to the already very rich world that CD Projekt Red has created.

Thoughts and Expectations for Cyberpunk in 2021

2020 has been a difficult year for most of humanity. Fortunately I never contracted the virus this year, but I know many friends and family members that did, and it certainly wasn’t easy. We changed out habits, lifestyles, values, perspective on life, because of the virus–it really was a pandemic that will change human history as we know it, developing in front of our eyes in real time. But with all these vaccines rolling out for 2021, the year looks very promising. And with the vaccines will hopefully come a new stability, a new normal that will allow travel and production on all our favorite media to resume again. After 8 long years, Cyberpunk 2077 finally was released, and although its release definitely wasn’t perfect, the stories in Cyberpunk 2077 will now be in the forefront of our modern culture’s mind, with society knowing exactly what a cyberpunk world looks like and what kind of cyberpunks they might encounter in such a world if they played the videogame. Ready Player Two will probably be coming out with Steven Spielberg producing at least, and I wouldn’t be surprised if CD Projekt Red learns from their mistakes and creates another Cyberpunk title, or at the very least more DLC to add to the night city, if what they’ve done with The Witcher 3 is any indication. So goodbye 2020, for all its challenges and change, and welcome 2021. As Panam says, cheers — here’s to what’s yet to come.

Greetings again, Choomba, hello. This time, I know some of you have been waiting for it, some of you been asking for it. Here it is. We’re going to talk about vehicles. We’re going to talk about the simplified rules from the Cyberpunk twenty twenty core main book. I know there’s some more detail you get into maximum metal. Believe the old Soldier of Fortune book. Some of the others have some more detail, some more specifics, more complicated rules.

We’re not worried about that in this video. We’re talking about the core main book only, so. There it is. There you go. Let’s go, basically, OK, you’re going to make a big roll or dive in an aircraft.

You want to make a cool parking spin and park type of thing with your car. You’re being shot at. You’re trying to avoid it. You’re trying to make a turn at a very high rate of speed while any of these things are going to require a skill check. Now, I was going to say basic maneuvers, as a ref, basic stuff. You know, if you’re not in combat, you’re not being chased. You’re not driving in an extraordinary high rate of speed for the road, for the situation.

If you’ve got if you’ve got at least a five, six or so, five or six driving skill or piloting skill or whatever it is you’re using, if you’ve got at least the five or six in it, you don’t need to make a check for those things unless there’s some specific reason to. Something’s going on. Dirt road and you’re not, you know, dirt road and you’re driving 100 kilometers an hour. You’re more likely you’ll need to make a skill check than if you’re on perfect pavement on the expressway going 100.

Right. OK, so. Basically, here is the skill check stuff, it’s your reflexes, it’s whatever the skill is, it’s appropriate for the vehicles of driving a motorcycle or the piloting skill. If you use some fixed wing or whatever it is. Right. It’s your reflexes, the skill number, a die 10 and then whatever modifiers will need to be applied, which we’ll talk about modifiers here in just a minute. Now. The skill check, whatever you roll, whatever you told him modifiers going to be excuse me, is going to be against these.

All right is a simple thing. You’re trying to do a difficult thing. You try and do a very difficult thing you’re trying to do. I would even in some cases, I’ve added nearly impossible. Some player wants to do something absolutely insane with a vehicle, with their aircraft or whatever it is. I’ll give them the opportunity to do it. That role might be versus a thirty or thirty five, which is very damn hard to get unless they put a pile of luck into it, you know, or something.

But it’s possible. So anyway, there you go. Those are the basic numbers, depending on what you are trying to do. I won’t go through them all because you guys can read them. They’re right there. OK, here we go. We’re going to move on now. The modifier mentioned there were some modifiers to what you might do. There they are. If you get a regular car, if you got a limo, limos, if you ever driven a limo, drop me comment.

Let me know if you’ve ever driven a limo. But you know their pain in the ass to drive their freakin big. Another thing, it’s not on this list specifically, but I’d say like an RV, a motor home or something. The pain in the ass to drive. They’re big, they’re bulky, they’re clunky. You’re going to have a negative to your skill check or to add an additional modifier to your. Target number, depending on how your Ref wants to calculate it, but point is, it’s more tough or more difficult.

So there’s those now. The other things we go on here that might happen if you fail, say your difficulty for this particular maneuver is a 20 and you get a 19, you have failed your role. So what happens? You roll the dice six and you look at this chart right here, that’s what happens. Now, this chart, again, is pretty straightforward. Some things can happen. I’m going to mention a little bit more about slew in just a moment.

I had to look that one up, to be honest. Could be a major shift. You could roll your ground if the ground vehicle. You could roll it. Yeah, you could lose a whole lot of altitude.

You may go into a flat spin right now if you’re a pilot. A flat spin, as I understand it, is about the most difficult thing to pull out of as an aircraft pilot. You are a pilot, you know, something that is harder to get out of as far as something might happen if you lose control. The aircraft drop in the comments. Let me know. I appreciate it. Be good for other refs to have have another thing they could describe and also want to mention, if you want a more in-depth list of what could happen, you know, more detail, longer list, more things, more options.

Let me know on the comments about that as well. I’m putting together I’ve got one that I’ve used now and then in my own games, but, you know, clean it up, polish it off, make it available in some way. If you guys are interested, let me know. All right. So we’ve mentioned that stuff now. Next thing I want to mention, oh, is what weapons what weapons could this vehicle have for you to attack?

Well, obviously, you could use the vehicle as a weapon, right? That’s one big thing you could use. You could also in this commonly found is lasers, lasers attached to the vehicle. Right. You got big heavy machine guns. You could have missiles. You could have rail guns attached mounted to your vehicle. You may have a turret machine gun. OK, now for Ref’s, you got to keep in mind, depending on what kind of weapon it is, depending on how it is mounted, the vehicle determines if it is the driver, if it’s pointed straight ahead, straight to one side, straight back, it’s the driver that’s aiming it or is it whoever’s manning the weapon that’s aiming it?

All right. But that depends upon the situation up to the ref to figure out how they want to handle it. Again, if you’re just using these rules, don’t make it too complicated. Don’t make it too hard. We’re talking about these are relatively simplified rules to just let you do some vehicle combat without getting into too much detail and getting too far into the weeds, so to speak, on it. Right. OK. Vehicle damage now vehicles have both SP and SDP now if the vehicle’s armored, it has SP should say, and Armor’s just like armor on your character.

OK, if the vehicle is going to take damage, you take it off the SP first. Whatever gets through, it goes to the SDP. Now, the book doesn’t specifically mention this. Again, these are simplified rules, but like with a character’s armor, I would say at any time something gets through the armor of the vehicle, that armor is reduced by a point. You might as a ref, if it’s a heavily armored vehicle, you might say it’s reduced by a die four for die six or whatever, whatever works for you.

But again, the book says book doesn’t have that stuff. It assumes armor is good because this is simplified rules. SDP now that’s the structural points of the vehicle. When you run out of structural points, vehicles done. We’re talking about that scene at the end and well towards the end of Blues Brothers with the vehicle and it falls apart. You run out of SDP points you’re vehicle is done. Aircraft. If you’re still in the air, you’re in deep caca.

Right?

OK, moving on. That’s what happened. Oh, I’m going to put up the formula. You know what? I did do this. Let’s throw it up there. There it is. All right. Damage minus any SP assuming the vehicle’s armored SP. all that gets removed from the SDP of the vehicle when you get zero SDP. It’s done all right now. The next thing we’re going to talk about is the let me see this one here.

Yeah, there we go. What happens? What happens when you well.

You run into something, how much damage does the vehicle take? How much damage do the occupants take. Well, there you go. That’s the formula. If you’re going one hundred kilometers an hour, divide it by twenty is five. Right. So it’s five die six. And then you got any modifiers? We’ll talk about those in just a moment, because depending on the weight of the thing you’re hitting determines any modifiers. But whatever this comes out to, it reduces the SDP of the vehicle.

And also the occupants take half. So five die six, say, rolled completely, average of three on each. that’d be 15 points, 15 points off the SDP of the vehicle. Half of that always round down. So seven, all the occupants take seven points. Wouldn’t be a fun day, but there you go. There’s that. So the next thing and modifies that number, though, before you apply it, you’ve got to apply modifiers.

There’s always modifiers here. They’re OK if you’re running into a small box, something almost something inconsequential. But you figure it does cause some damage, but it’s almost inconsequential. Point five. So you’re actually so instead of that fifteen point, you’re starting with seven, seven and a half or eight depending how your Ref wants play it. I always round down. If you’re talking about a light individual, you’re hitting a big box of a refrigerator box with the refrigerator in it, that’s just considered straight damage, no modifier, basically times one.

If you hit something a medium size, for example, a motorcycle, you double the damage. If you’re hitting another car, you’d triple it. OK, if you’re hitting something very heavy, a truck, you’re hitting your aircraft, you hit the ground, ground vehicle, hit a wall, you hit a building, something that’s not likely to give you much give or give very much. You’re going to tell you that damage is going to do the occupants to the vehicle.

It’s times four. So there’s times four. As an example, if we used our example from earlier, 100 kilometers an hour, divided by twenty is five, five die six.

And times four, so there you go, there is all of that now, a one other bonus fact I wanted to give you here, I use if depending on the results of a skid or an aircraft going to control. Flat Spin, OK, whatever. Anyway, so I’m going to control you want to roll for what direction do you end up assuming they the driver, the pilot pulls it back, gets it back under control. What direction are you now traveling?

Where are you now headed? Here’s the bonus, the granade table. Use the grenade table. It can give you a direction. Just give you a direction where things are now headed, what’s now going on. And by the way, in case you’re wondering, there was some some question, some discussion on this in some of the forums. So I want to ask let me know, please. Do you prefer a video like this where you’re sort of looking at me and I’m doing the talking head thing?

Or would you prefer a video like some of the others I’ve done or I just ran a trailer or ran some other video? That’s cool. While I did a voiceover and talked about this stuff. Let me know. Let me know in the comments. All right. I appreciate you’re watching. Thanks for watching. Thanks for subscribing… See you in the next video.

But our story is just beginning. [music and sound affects] Wake the fuck up, Samurai. We have a city to burn. Mm, mm hmm. What you’re so. You’re still watching the shit. All right, you’re so fortunate you get a bonus, you get another bonus. All right, we’re going to do some more. Hold on. I’ll be right back. Oh, OK. OK, we’re back now. We have something going on, we’re getting close, OK, as a recording, we’re at about 200 give or take 200 subs on YouTube.

Now we hit 250. We’re going to do some deals. It’s going to be some discounts in. Maybe some free stuff too we’ll see maybe maybe maybe some free stuff when we hit 250, we got to do it quick. We do it soon enough. There will be some cool stuff in Black Friday’s coming up. There’s going to be some stuff there to cool stuff, right?

OK, so, yeah, that’s all the stuff. It’s all there. Check it out.

Free 2020 character sheet. It’s there.

Thank you for watching. Thanks for subscribing. Thank you.

All right. 250, 250 subs.

That’s the number right now. The next big milestone, 500 and then a thousand each one. We’re going to do some cool shit. We’re going to give way some stuff… Maybe maybe we’re going to give away some stuff.

We’ll see. We’ll see. There’s going to be some discounts. There’s going to be some other fun stuff. Check it out. All right. See you next video. We finish the job. But our story is just beginning. Wake the fuck up, Samurai. We have a city to burn.

Current Status: manuscript delivered to printer

That’s right, choombas! The manuscript for Cyberpunk RED is complete and stitched together and sent to the printer!

What does this mean? It means we’ve entered “the proofing stage”. That’s where the printer goes through the manuscript, searching for any issues that might crop up during the production process. They’ll send notes. We’ll make fixes and send back a new file. They’ll proof a second time.

Once both sides (the printer and RTG) sign off on the final proof, we’ll have a sharper idea on the “for sale” date on Cyberpunk RED. As soon as we know, we’ll announce it to everyone!

In the meanwhile… you’ve all been so patient, you certainly deserve a reward! How about a map of Night City circa 2045?

Until next time, choombas, stay safe on the streets!

This video is a quick one covering the difference between hard armor and soft armor… What the difference? Well, here ya go 🙂
Some time ago I’d made videos on layering, EV, proportional and max armor rules, but missed this one so here it is!

Greetings again, Choomba’s, hello, this time we’re going to talk about hard versus soft armor’s and what the hell’s the difference? Well, here we go.

Awhile back I did the layering armor, proportional armor rules, maximum armor rules.

I did all those while quite a ways back, but just realized when I was looking over my notes lists what videos need to be done that I’d never gone back and did the hard versus soft armor. Not a long video but here you go. Here’s the basics. OK.

Now basically the hard armor’s of the ones based on ceramics, metals, composites those are the terms that are used in the book.

If you’re armor is based on a rigid material like that, then it’s a hard armor. If it’s based on soft material or flexible, at least, like a leather, if it’s based on a carbon fiber type weave or something like that, that’s going to be considered a soft armor. OK, here’s the list from the book so you can see what that looks like. Give you some ideas if if your armor that you’re custom made thing doesn’t exactly fit into one of these.

Well, go back and look at is it based is the most of protection based on origin materials or based on a soft material for E.V. for layering purposes

If it has if you made something, come up with something that has both, if it has a rigid material in it, you’ve got to treat it as a hard armor.

As far as that goes for for EV, in my opinion, for, you know, check with your Ref, Right. For EV that kind of thing. As far as penetration value now depends on what you’ve come up with. You might come up with something cool yourRef might want might let you get the best of both worlds. See what happens there, talk to them. But that’s pretty much I’ll tell you what that is pretty much covers it.

All right. For this quick one on hard armors versus soft armors, thanks for watching.

Thanks for subscribing and see in the next video!

We finished the job, but our story is.

Just beginning. Wake the fuck up, Samurai. We have a city to burn.
